I know that this was intended to be a weekly blog. But it is so much fun to talk with you that I am making it open-endedso I can write to you whenever I want. Oh yes, the blog name has changed to Wellness Adventure Blog. The oxford dictionary defines "adventure" as, "an unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity. Does that not sound just like LIFE? For example since my rather dramatic, heartfelt post two days ago, my spouse has returned home. After numerous tests, there appears to be no immediate problem! Miracle, mistake, fluke, whatever...this is a time of respite and release for which I am grateful.
However, I have noticed that my nervous system has not yet gotten the message that it's ok to turn off the alarm. Thus, I woke up (again) at 4am with a general feeling of anxiety. That's ok. I love my super-sensitive system in many ways. It helps me to be empathetic and compassionate with others, allows me to good experience things intensely, and teaches me to rely on my intuition.
However, human bodies don't appreciate being on a state of alert 24/7. So my task for today is to pause often and remember that I am in receiving mode, allow people and animals, angels, and countless other resources (including my own Inner Wisdom) to assist, support, and nurture me back to a state of balance. (Extra rest, good nutrition, and movement also can't hurt). Am I- are you- going to get this process down perfectly and never worry or feel overwhelmed again? Of course not. That's ok, too. It's an adventure, right?
